Discipline Policy:
At Amazing Learning Academy we are structured so that out children will have the opportunity to make choices between activities and materials. This provides a sense of independence and prevents conflicts between children.
The staff at Amazing Learning Academy is expected to model proper language and communication skills. This provides a sense of language development and an alternative to problem solving that is not arguing. This will give the opportunity for children to use their communication skills to express their needs and feelings. In the event that self direction or language skills do not solve a problem, the teacher will then offer other alternatives. If the difficulty persist and it becomes a behavioral problem the child is given a personal space away from the other children. When the child decides to rejoin his/her group they will be welcome back.
As a parents an teachers, our goal is to fully explain and model good behavior and language skills to our children. This helps with problem solving skills needed to grow and function in society.
Jewelry/Toys/Small Items:
Amazing Learnings Academy will not be responsible for any loss of items. Small items can be dangerous if an item breaks and ends up in a child's mouth. Parents are advised not to send their child to the center with any jewelry, toys, or small objects.
